Macros
In virtually every input screen in VISUAL, there is a drop-down menu titled “Macros”. Have you ever wondered what that is for? Macros allow you to add functionality to VISUAL to meet your unique business requirements. Among other things, a macro can be developed to:
- Allow VISUAL to interface with external programs for special calculations or more intricate functions
- Perform calculations not natively done by VISUAL and place the results in fields of VISUAL screens and tables
- Check for lack of required information
- Prompt users for required information
- Automate repetitive steps

- Automatically email a customer acknowledgement when a new order is entered
