The Professional Services Group at Visual South has performed hundreds of successful upgrades since 1994. Our time-tested, proven methodology assures you of a trouble free upgrade. Our steps include:
- Off-site pre-conversion of your database. This crucial first step allows us to thoroughly examine your database for any issues that could impede your upgrade. If there are any issues with the database, we will know before we come in for the upgrade; as opposed to finding out when we are on-site. In virtually all the cases, we can resolve any database problem during the pre-conversion, at no extra cost, and then apply the solution during the actual on-site conversion.
- On-site upgrade. This step is typically performed on a Saturday during your down time. We will upgrade your database, upgrade the version of your database engine (if required), update all the clients as required, reorganize the database, and assure all modified standard reports run properly.
- Post upgrade consulting day. This is typically done the following Monday morning. We are there with you when your employees start working with the new version of VISUAL. Is there a custom report you didn’t know about that isn’t running now? Is there new functionality your employees need help understanding? We make sure all your questions are answered and all your upgrade related issues are addressed.
