## DataView Reporting Tools Overview

DataViews are user-friendly reporting tools built into the CSI platform that let business users access, filter, and visualize data directly from the ERP. DataViews work like configurable list reports—offering dynamic grouping, filtering, and column-level adjustments on the fly.

You can save personal views, schedule reports, and control access by user or role. DataViews are commonly used to support dashboards, work queues, and export-ready tables. Because they run off CSI’s Intelligent Data Object (IDO) layer, they ensure data integrity while offering flexible user control.

DataViews are ideal for monitoring things like late orders, open RMAs, past-due inspections, or quote pipelines, giving front-line teams real-time visibility without needing a formal report writer.

## Expert’s Take on DataView Reporting Tools

**Nick Mendolia**, Director of Client Solutions at Visual South, explains why DataViews are so valuable to end users:
