This article is part of our **CloudSuite Industrial Feature Focus** series.

Each post highlights a specific feature within [**Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI)**](https://www.visualsouth.com/cloudsuite-industrial). In this one, we’re focusing on **Time & Attendance**, a Factory Track module that provides robust employee time tracking capabilities directly inside the ERP system.

Here’s what we’re focusing on today:

- **Feature:** Time & Attendance
- **Module:** Factory Track
- **Product:** Infor CloudSuite Industrial ERP

## Time & Attendance Overview

The Time Track module within Factory Track offers comprehensive time and attendance functionality, including vacation tracking, overtime calculation, shift-based calendars, and integration-ready payroll data exports. It's ideal for companies that want a native, ERP-connected alternative to third-party timekeeping solutions.

**Key capabilities include:**

- Employee clock-in/clock-out via kiosk or mobile
- Supervisor dashboards for approvals and visibility
- Configurable holiday and overtime rules
- Exportable payroll extracts
- Vacation, leave, and absence tracking

## Expert’s Take on Time & Attendance

**Nick Mendolia**, Director of Client Solutions at Visual South, offers a candid perspective on this feature:

> "Time & Attendance is a full solution - just not one we see widely adopted. Most companies already have something in place with payroll providers like ADP or Paychex. So we typically treat this as a phase two or three project It's not what first attracts someone to CloudSuite Industrial."

That phased approach is strategic. Many manufacturers focus their ERP efforts first on the core drivers of cost and schedule, labor and material tracking, before circling back to timekeeping systems.

> "It’s great that it’s integrated and available, and some clients appreciate having it for future use. But it does take effort to set up - it’s almost like an ERP implementation in itself."

Time & Attendance in CSI gives companies the option to consolidate systems down the road and eliminate the need for third-party tools. While it may not be the first priority, it's a powerful resource when the time is right.
