This article is part of our CloudSuite Industrial Feature Focus series.
Each post highlights a specific feature within Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI). In this one, we’re focusing on Warehouse Mobility, a powerful Factory Track feature that brings real-time, barcode-enabled inventory operations directly to the shop floor.
Here’s what we’re focusing on today:
The Warehouse Mobility module in Factory Track extends CSI’s inventory management capabilities to barcode scanners and mobile devices used on the floor. It supports issuing materials, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and transfers - all without needing to return to a desktop terminal.
Key capabilities include:
Nick Mendolia, Director of Client Solutions at Visual South, explains why warehouse mobility is a go-to capability in every CSI deployment:
"Warehouse Mobility lets you do everything from a mobile device, whether it's walking the warehouse or on a forklift. You're not filling out pull sheets and pick lists, then walking back to a desk. You simply scan or enter the transaction data, and the ERP is updated immediately in real time."
Nick emphasizes the benefit of pairing warehouse mobility with barcode scanning:
"Scan the pick list, scan the part off the shelf, and the system validates it. No typos, no mismatches. It’s a clean, accurate process."
While Factory Track is technically an optional module, Nick notes that it’s a must-have in practice:
"While considered ‘optional’, Factory Track is always part of every CloudSuite Industrial implementation due to the vast benefits it provides to the shop floor and warehouse."
Warehouse Mobility is a key piece of making ERP actionable on the floor, not just at the desktop.
