This article is part of our CloudSuite Industrial Feature Focus series.
Each post highlights a specific feature within Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI). In this one, we’re diving into Reseller Portal.
You’ll get a clear explanation of how it works and expert insight from Visual South’s Nick Mendolia. Nick has implemented ERP for real manufacturers and knows what the documentation doesn’t tell you.
Here’s what we’re focusing on today:
The Reseller Portal in Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) is similar to the Customer Portal, but with one major enhancement—commission tracking. Resellers can log in, create orders for their customers, and automatically track commissions on those orders. The system knows which reseller is placing each order and assigns credit accordingly.
This feature ensures that every sale is tied to the appropriate reseller or partner and provides visibility into earnings. It supports streamlined order entry for resellers while offering the back-office intelligence needed to support a distributed sales model.
Like the Customer Portal, it connects directly with CSI. Orders placed through the portal are automatically entered into the ERP system, eliminating manual steps.
According to Nick Mendolia:
"Reseller Portal is very similar to Customer Portal, except now it also has the ability to show a reseller what their commissions are... the portal knows that the customer they’re placing the order for belongs to them, so they get the commission when the order comes in."
It’s a simple but powerful way to incentivize partners while keeping the ERP system in sync with sales activity.
