Visual South COVID-19 Update

We are adapting

We are living in a time that is unprecedented in my lifetime, and probably yours. So, let me start with a statement that for me is obvious, but comforting: We are all in this together.

COVID-19 doesn’t care about you, me, or our families. All it can do is infect. But we can care about each other. We can support one another as best we can. Here is what Visual South can do to help our customers:

  • For our customers designated as critical infrastructure, you may be faced with demands on your company you haven’t had to deal with in the past. VISUAL projects planned in the future may be needed now. We can help you through whatever hurdle you have.
  • If your business has slowed down, now is the time to focus on projects that never got the attention they deserved. It could be a great time to upgrade and implement Shop Floor Mobile. Maybe clean the data that everyone knows needs to be done, but no one had the time to do it. Perhaps it’s time to work through training issues. You know your list better than me. Contact us and we’ll help you through it.
  • If business has slowed to the point that scheduling a consultant is not possible, first I want to say our hearts go out to you. Next, I’d suggest using this time to plan for success when this is behind us and business comes roaring back. There are a number of blogs we wrote that revolve around business improvements. Prepare today for your success tomorrow.

I do believe we will get through this and the businesses that are best prepared for the recovery will recover the quickest. In addition, they will probably gain market share. Consulting engagements

For the foreseeable future, all consulting services will be conducted remotely. This is for your safety as well as ours. The latest information on the spread of the virus is pretty clear: It can be transmitted by people before they show symptoms of the virus. I don't want us or our customers regretting an on-site visit.

Fortunately, we have been providing remote services for over 20 years. That experience leads us to acknowledge that remote consulting isn't the same as being there; but it's pretty darn close. Remote consulting is much better than not accomplishing anything. It may feel uncomfortable at first, but that's just the learning curve you are feeling. After a short while, it will feel normal. Here's a Pro tip: Turn on your webcam. Humans like face-to-face conversations. We communicate through words and body language. Again, this may feel uncomfortable at first, but it soon feels normal. So normal, you miss it when the webcam isn't on.

We're all in this together

It's amazing how quickly COVID-19 has affected our day-to-day lives. I'm proud of everyone at Visual South for how well they have adapted to our current "normal". The fact we have each other to rely on helped. In the same way, you can rely on us to assist you however we can.
