It is very common for companies to put a lot of focus on evaluating, selecting, implementing, and then maintaining their ERP solution. Companies often identify quality management as a priority early in the ERP evaluation process, but then implementation takes front and center and the quality management needs are marked as a “Phase 2” item. The typical result is the company uses a modern ERP with a very antiquated quality solution (think standalone databases, spreadsheets, or papers in manila folders).  These quality solutions are a remaining island of information that companies set out to get rid of. Infor Quality Management solves the issue of having the information stored in a standalone environment, and when used with Infor ERP, the issue of integration. More specifically, passing audits can be a challenge with a standalone, “disintegrated” system; but when all of the information is in the same solution, it is very easy to show auditors the tools and procedures that are in place. ### What about Infor Quality Management’s technology platform? The Infor Quality Management system is built on the Mongoose platform, which is a powerful toolset.  Mongoose allows you to completely personalize every screen or “form” in the software to create the exact experience you want for your users. This includes moving fields on the screen, adding or deleting fields, and even adding form functionality using Intelligent Data Objects. All of these tools are available to customers, and anything you personalize will survive upgrades since the changes are not being made to the software’s source code. Mongoose also powers the reporting capabilities in Infor Quality Management. ### In Conclusion… The Infor Quality Management system is a robust solution with deep, broad functionality that supports over 20 quality standards (AS9100, ISO, etc.). It can run standalone or as an integrated solution with Infor ERP. Implementations are completed in months, not years, and the solution provides a platform to support any organization that requires ERP quality management software, especially companies that are subject to audits from third parties, their customers, their vendors, or all three.
